The day of admission

You will be admitted by the nursing staff and then we will meet again before surgery. This is your opportunity to ask any final questions before your operation.

We will be asking you to sign a consent form if this has not already been done. Any marking or surgical planning will be done while you are awake as your input at this stage is vital. I may also take clinical photographs with your permission.

If you are having a general anaesthetic the anaesthetist will also visit and discuss the anaesthetic with you.
