Nasal packs

Occasionally packs are required inside the nose particularly if work has been done to improve breathing. On the rare occasions when I use packs they are removed the day after surgery.

Following a rhinoplasty you will have some swelling and bruising on your cheeks and lower eyelids. Most of the swelling will have resolved by the time the splint is removed and you will see a significant improvement in your nasal shape. The final appearance will not be achieved until several months after surgery as the residual swelling resolves. Bruising should have resolved by 14 days following surgery.

Following rhinoplasty you should avoid contact sport for a month but can resume all other activity once the splint has been removed.
