Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon

Present position: Full Time Private Practice
Following plastic surgical training at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, London, and the USA Mr Dickinson was appointed as a Consultant at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1990. He moved to Wexham Park Hospital in 1992. In addition to his surgical duties he was the Lead Clinician in Plastic Surgery, Clinical Director of Specialist Surgery, Chairman of the Plastic Surgery Clinical Effectiveness Committee. He was also an honorary Consultant Plastic Surgeon to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. He decided to leave the NHS in 2007 and is now in full time private practice with over 17 years experience as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
During his time in the NHS he gained extensive experience in Hand Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, Skin Cancer and general reconstructive surgery. NHS practice included many cosmetic type procedures particularly to the breast and face and in addition to his NHS practice he developed a busy private practice in cosmetic surgery which he now continues.
He is an active member of the following professional bodies:
- British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS)
- British Association of Aesthetic Surgeons (BAAPS)
- British Society for Surgery of the Hand BSSH
- Royal Society of Medicine RSM
He is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) as a Plastic Surgeon.

He reads widely and attends national and international meetings to keep up to date and advance his knowledge and skills.
